Single Sign-on
Single Sign-on
Sometimes referred to as SSO, this is a property of access control for multiple related, but independent, software systems.
With SSO a user only needs to log in once to gain access to all the systems without being prompted to do so again at the start of each.
Like single sign-on, single sign-off is a property where a single action by the user signs them out of multiple software systems.
SSO internally translates and stores a user’s credentials so as to support the different authentication mechanisms through that one authentication.
