They include modems, routers and IP security cameras that have been effective in executing their intended functions. The TRENDnet routers come with the factory settings the first time after purchase. They have a default username, password and an IP Address that is used to access the user interface.
Locating your IP address
If you want to determine the IP address of your TRENDnet router, there are a variety of options available. First, you can use the Command Prompt method and it applies mostly on the Windows-based computers.If you are using Windows 7, you will start by clicking the ‘Start’ button or Menu then choose ‘All programs’. Click on Accessories and then the ‘Command Prompt’ in the blank text field, type ‘ipconfig’ without the quotes. Press ‘Enter’ button and locate the default gateway.
You can also contact your internet service provider or check the user manual for more information concerning your IP address. If you change your IP address, you will use the new address after tuning all the settings of the router and your PC.
Logging in to your TRENDnet router IP
Since you have the IP address, open the web browser and type the link http://192.168.10.1 in the URL text field. Click the ‘Enter’ button to proceed to the next step.
It will open a new prompt window requesting the login credentials. Enter the default username and passphrase before you click the ‘login’ button. If the process is successful, you will be directed to the TRENDnet home page. A variety of settings can be configured in the administrative panel.
In a situation that you forget your new password, the primary solution is to perform a hard reset. Press and hold the button at the back of your router for about 15 seconds. The process will restore your router to the factory settings. The next time you log in to your router, use the default username and password.
