Webmasters are responsible for designing and maintain websites for their customer, but they are also responsible for web promotion, graphic design, and security of their clients data on the web site. This occupation is growing at a rapid rate, and it is likely to grow to at least twenty two percent by 2022.

In order to hold this position an aspiring webmaster must be able to spend long hours in front of a computer, and have a strong base of knowledge about the client and website that they plan to run. Webmasters also do not necessarily need a college degree of any type, and they are usually employed from their own home.
