WAMP – Windows/Apache/MySQL/PHP, Python and or PERL

A set of open source applications combined with Windows and are commonly used in web-server environments.

Developers are provided with three key elements of a web-server with the WAMP stack: web-server and web-scripting software, a database, and an operating system; all combined together to be called a server-stack.

In the stack windows is the OS, Apache the web-server, MySQL controls the database components, and one or more of the Ps (PHP, Python, and PERL) represent the dynamic scripting languages.
