Remote Access Server
Remote Access Server
A server for users who are not on a LAN (Local-Area Network) but need access to it remotely.
Users are able to access files and print serves found on the LAN from a remote location trough the remote access server.
A user at home or abroad can connect to a network through a remote access server and then be authenticated by the server.
Once authenticated the user then has access to all shared drives and printers on the network.
Remote Access Servers allow users to work from various locations on projects that may need to stay within the company’s network.
Users who are unable to access printers at their location will also be able to remain productive by using the remote access server to gain access to printers connected to the network.
