The Certified Wireless Design Professional (CWDP) exam code PW0-250 was announced alongside the CWAP certification on April 07, 2010. The certification exam is currently in its beta stage and will be officially available in its entirety during early 2011. To earn the CWDP certification interested candidates must pass two exams, the PW0-104 and the PW0-250. Starting in 2011, the exam PW0-250 will be available internationally at all Pearson VUE testing centers.
The new and updated official CWDP Study Guide is published by Sybex and is jointly authored by Shawn Jackman, Rick Murphy, Matt Swartz, and Marcus Burton. All authors of the study guide are CWNE certified. Co-author Marcus Burton who is also the Director of Content Development at CWNP has said about the newly announced certifications that these were highly anticipated and much needed by wireless professionals.
This study guide will be available on January 1, 2011 along with the official CWDP practice test which will appear on the official website of CWNP (cwnp.com).
