Paste Options in MS Excel

MS Excel supports multiple Paste Options which are quite attractive as well as supportive in many cases.

To have a better understanding of this concept, follow the steps below:

1. Select and copy of range of cells in MS Excel

2. Right click on desired destination cell and you will find multiple find options under the context menu

3. 3-By clicking the icon on left, you will paste the copied content along with all the applied formats and formulas. This is the general and most frequently used form of Paste.

4.4– By clicking the icon on left, you will paste only the values of the copied text. All formatting and formulas will be removed and only the visible values will be pasted.

5.5   -By clicking the icon on left, you will only paste the values and applied formula of the copied cells but not the formatting.

6.6  -By clicking the icon on left, you will paste the copied data to the destination but the important thing will be that this data will be transposed from Row to Column or Column to Row before being pasted.

7.7  -By clicking the icon on left, you will only paste the applied formatting of the copied cells and neither the formula nor the values will be pasted.

8.8   -By clicking the icon on left, you will paste the link of copied data to the destination.
