Skip Blanks Option in MS Excel

Skip blank is a Paste Special option in MS Excel that allows the user to skip pasting of blank spaces from a source to destination.

To have a better understanding and working knowledge of this concept, please follow the steps below:

1. Enter any dummy values from Cell A1 to Cell A10. Also Enter 3 values in random cells between Cell B1 to Cell B10 as shown in the figure below

2. Now, select range from cell B1 to B10 and copy it

3. Now, right click on cell A1 and select Paste Special from the context menu

4. In Paste Special window, check the Skip Blanks option and click OK

5.You will notice that only those cells will be copied from Column B to Column A that have values in them. All the blank cells will be skipped
