How Do You Post on Instagram

Posting pictures or videos on Instagram is a simple process. There are only a few steps involved that help you create the best post possible. Add exciting features to the photo like filters, captions, and more.

1) Start by opening your app and then clicking on the camera icon at the bottom of the screen. This icon is found in the middle of a row of five different icons.

2) Select a photo from your phone’s library or take a brand new photo. Once you’ve chosen a picture, click ‘next’ in the top right corner of the screen.

3) The next screen is where you get to have some fun. Below the photo, you will see a row of three icons. The one on the far left looks like a circle with three lines in the middle. Swipe to the left to look through all the filters and tap on the one you want.

4) The next two icons are for adjusting the lighting and creating effects. The lighting option is in the middle. Drag the blue circle along the line to make the picture darker or lighter. When you’re finished, press the checkmark in the bottom right corner. The icon with the wrench in the middle of a circle gives you effects options. Swipe through the options and tap on ones like brightness, contrast, and structure. When you’re finished, press ‘next.’

5) On the last screen, you will get to add a caption, tag people, add a location, and connect the post to other social media sites. Once you’ve inputted all the correct information and you think you will be happy with the final product press ‘share’ at the bottom of the screen.
