How to turn off video auto play on twitter

Turning Off Video Auto-play on Twitter

When you’re scrolling through your Twitter feed, you may notice that whenever you scroll over a video it automatically plays. Sometimes that may catch you off guard, especially when you have your volume on your computer on high. If you’d rather play a video manually, there is a way to do that. Follow these simple steps to turn off the auto-play.

1) Go to your settings page. To do that, click on your profile picture in the top right corner of your screen. A drop down list will appear and then you have to click on ‘settings’ near the bottom.

2) When you’re redirected to the settings page, you should already be on the ‘account’ section. If not, look to the left and see the column of tabs. Click on the top option.

After a moment, your settings will be changed. You can change this option at any time. Most of the settings that Twitter provides can constantly be changed. Twitter wants to give you full control over your account. You decide how everything runs and what things you will and will not change. It’s important to look through all the settings so that you know what your options are.
